I changed up one of my mother's old recipes to add more veggies and flavor!Ingredients | How To Cook Cavolo Nero Black Kale1 (8 ounce) package penne pasta2 tablespoons olive oil½ cup chopped onion2 cloves garlic, chopped1 pound lean ground turkeysalt and ground black pepper to taste1 bunch kale, chopped into 1 1/2-inch pieces2 small zucchini, thinly sliced1 (540 mL) can seasoned diced tomatoes with juices (such as Aylmer® Accents® Garlic and Olive Oil Petite Cut Tomatoes)1 cup prepared pasta sauce2 teaspoons Italian seasoning2 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese, divided½ cup shredded Cheddar cheese⅓ cup grated Parmesan cheeseDirectionsPreheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Lightly grease a large baking dish.Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add penne and cook, stirring occasionally, until tender yet firm to the bite, about 11 minutes. Drain.Heat oil in a large frying pan over medium-high heat. Saute onion and garlic in the hot oil for 4 minutes. Add ground turkey and cook and stir until browned and crumbly, 5 to 7 minutes.
