Trader joe's island soyaki is different from other teriyaki sauces on the market and slightly different than the similar sounding trader joe's soyaki.

Here's a zesty marinade for grilled chicken with lemon juice and soy sauce, garlic and cilantro.

Ingredients | Trader Joe's Soyaki Chicken Marinade

⅓ cup Kikkoman Soy Sauce

1 lemon, juiced

2 cloves garlic, minced

¼ cup fresh cilantro

½ cup olive oil

1 teaspoon onion powder

½ teaspoon coarsely ground black pepper

2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts

Directions

Combine Kikkoman Soy Sauce, lemon juice, garlic, cilantro, olive oil, onion powder, and black pepper. Mix well.

Place chicken in marinade and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours or overnight. Grill following your favorite method. Serve with your favorite salsa.
